KURO-Bo Activated Charcoal (or "Binchotan") is created in a special oven which transforms the sustainably sourced wood into pure Carbon. 

Can be used with Spring Water, RO Water, and near-potable well point, bore hole and rainwater

2 - 3 Month Optimal Filtration then Boiling in Hot Water is recommended to reset the filter.

Carbon is an element of the Earth and is non-toxic.
The source is wood which is prepared prior to carbonisation be safe for cooking (see Japanese Binchotan wood for cooking) and human consumption in drinking water. 

The Carbon works via Adsorption for magnetically attract contaminants, limescale, chlorine, fluoride, nitrates and other inorganic compounds which find their way into our drinking water.

The Charcoal improves taste, purifies and mineralises tap water, while at the same time, balances an acidic pH.
